Welcome To Your Algarve Wellness Retreat!

Welcome to Algarve, Portugal! After arrival at Faro Airport, you'll meet your guide and be transferred to the hotel. After checking in, enjoy some time to explore the property before having a welcome dinner with the rest of the group.

Day2

Fishermen's Trail Hike

Start your day with a wellness activity overlooking the Mediterranean and a leisurely breakfast. This morning, we will head out on a hike of the famous Fishermen’s Trail. This route starts in Praia da Luz. Then we follow the Vicentine Route to Casa das Furnas, passing through deserted beaches and hidden corners. This is an easy route, enjoying verdant scenery en route to Burgau Village. Following your hike, enjoy lunch served at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the pool or beach.

Day3

Lagos & Stand Up Paddleboarding

Let yourself be amazed by the magic of the waters of the Algarve by "walking" on them! This morning, we will depart for our stand-up paddleboarding adventure, meeting at Praia Dona Ana. We will experience the caves from a unique and mesmerizing perspective. Later, we will continue on to lunch at a local restaurant in Lagos before returning to the hotel for an evening at leisure.

Day4

Monchique Mountain

Start your day with a wellness activity overlooking the Mediterranean and a leisurely breakfast. Today we’ll head to the green heartland and highest point in the Algarve, Fóia's peak, Monchique Mountain. Take in the views of the west and south coast. En route, we will make a stop at the Caldas de Monchique, an amazing thermal spa area used since the Roman times which they considered to be “sacred” and cured rheumatism and respiratory problems. You will have some time to explore and relax here this afternoon. We’ll make a quick stop in the village. Perhaps you’ll try a shot of "Medronho," a firewater made with the fruit of the arbutus tree or take some time to peruse the local craft and pottery shops before gathering for lunch. Return to the hotel for an evening at leisure.

Day5

Sailing in the Bay of Lagos

After a wellness activity at the hotel followed by breakfast, head to the Bay of Lagos for a scenic sailing experience. On this shared cruise, sail in the Bay of Lagos and explore some of the most impressive caves and rock formations in Southern Portugal. After experiencing this beauty of nature from afar, we will anchor in a sheltered bay where the crew will prepare and serve lunch. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit to jump into the water for a swim. After lunch, we will continue our journey and show you the famous caves of “Ponta da Piedade” on a smaller boat. Eventually we will raise the sails again and make our way back up the coast. Feel the magic of sailing, while you relax, sip a cocktail, and enjoy the sun, sea, and breathtaking view.

Day6

Day at Leisure

After your morning wellness activity and breakfast, you have a full day at leisure to explore and enjoy your surroundings. Later this evening, we’ll head to the historic center of Lagos as a group to discover the charm of this ancient city before gathering for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Day7

Loulé Market Visit

Following a morning wellness activity and breakfast at the hotel, you will head to one of the liveliest towns in the area where you will have free time to walk around and visit the castle and Loulé Market*. The picturesque market full of fruits and vegetables also offers a variety of crafts. Nowadays, we still find artisans who produce leather articles, delicate works, and beautiful pottery. Later, over lunch, discover the culture of the Portuguese “pesticos,” small plates made to taste, appreciate and share. *Loulé Market visit must take place on a Saturday and daily activities may be rearranged to accommodate this.

Day8

Departure

Today we’ll have our last wellness practice before leaving the Algarve. Have breakfast at the hotel and some time to relax before your transfer to the airport.
